OSSD 2025 · Reproducibility made easy: Open resources for all disciplines [workshop]

ReproducibiliTeam Leuven: Jan-Peter Sandler, Peer-Ole, Jacobsen, Eline Van Geert, & Joanne R. Beames
KU Leuven Open Science Study Day 2025 · May 6, 2025 · Leuven, Belgium

As open science continues to shape the future of research, it is vital to equip researchers with tools and practices that ensure transparency, rigor, and reproducibility, across all disciplines. We offer researchers an opportunity to exchange thoughts, feelings, and ideas concerning the improvement of science through the KU Leuven ReproducibiliTea Journal Club. This interactive session invites participants to explore and map open science resources tailored to their disciplines.

Starting with a brief presentation of cross-disciplinary resources and general practices applicable to all disciplines, we discuss tools for improving reproducibility. Participants engage in small-group discussions to review discipline-specific materials, identify gaps in their current practices, and brainstorm practical solutions. During the session, we draw on resources from the recent resource guide of the UK Reproducibility Network (Faran et al., 2025) to facilitate the exploration of preprints, open data repositories, and reproducible workflows.

The workshop concludes with a plenary discussion to share insights, address challenges, and foster a collaborative approach to adopting open science practices across disciplines. This session is ideal for researchers at all career stages who want to integrate reproducibility and transparency into their work.
